HOW TO JOIN BAND
STEP 1
SIGN UP
Click the button below to register for your child's personalized instrument fitting session. Your child will get to try ALL of the beginning band instruments with an Instrument Fitting Specialist who will help us fit your child to the very best possible instrument choice to have a FUN and SUCCESSFUL band experience!
NOTE: Students interested in percussion will have an additional audition requirement, which will be communicated to you at your child's instrument fitting session.
STEP 2
FITTING
Attend your child’s personal instrument screening at Reynolds Middle School! The process should take about an hour, and you and your child will have the opportunity to ask any questions you might have about band! At the end of the process, your child will leave knowing the top 2-3 possible instrument choices. After all the fittings are completed, the band directors will meet with the Instrument Fitting Specialists to discuss the best possible instrument for your child!
STEP 3
RESERVE
Attend our Instrument Reveal Event with your child to receive your child's OFFICIAL instrument assignment! While there, you will have the chance to visit stations to learn more about band and, more importantly, reserve your child's instrument and care kit with a Prosper ISD-Approved music store. If you are unable to attend, please reach out to Ms. Taylor for more information.
